Position OverviewAll Systems Electrical is seeking a motivated Electrical CAD Designer to join our team. This position supports the design, development, and documentation of electrical equipment, components, and systems used in industrial facilities.
The ideal candidate will have experience using AutoCAD to create electrical schematics and panel layouts, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently, take initiative, and solve problems effectively. We are looking for someone who is self-driven, organized, and eager to learn in a fast-paced industrial electrical environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesAutoCAD Design
Develop electrical schematic wiring diagrams
Create panel layout drawings
Perform block intersection and drawing organization
Generate and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM)
Utilize Excel import/export tools for batch text entry and documentation updates
Electrical Design Support
Assist in designing electrical systems for industrial equipment and facilities
Interpret and work from ASE electrical drawing packages
Apply knowledge of wire sizing and requirements per NEC/NFPA 70
Support compliance with UL 508A panel standards
Review and interpret customer specifications
General Responsibilities
Maintain organized project documentation
Communicate effectively with engineers, technicians, and project teams
Demonstrate strong problem-solving ability and independent decision-making
Manage assigned tasks with minimal supervision
Maintain high regard for personal safety and the safety of others
Producing clean, accurate AutoCAD electrical drawings
Maintaining organized and detailed project documentation
Completing assigned design tasks independently and efficiently
Communicating effectively with engineers and field crews
Identifying and resolving design issues before installation
Supporting safe and compliant electrical design practices
Required
High school diploma with engineering training or equivalent experience
Intermediate AutoCAD experience
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
Basic understanding of circuit wiring
Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Office applications
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and solve technical problems
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
Ability to pass background check, drug screening, and E‑Verify
Preferred
Technical school or engineering‑related education
Experience with conveyor systems or industrial machinery
Knowledge of OSHA and NEC regulations
Familiarity with UL 508A requirements
Experience working with or leading field crews
Knowledge of other construction trades
