Position: Engineer – Equipment IV – In Building/Venue

Location: Candidate can be based out of any client office

Work Setup: Hybrid

Our client is a leading telecommunications provider driving innovation in 4G LTE and 5G network deployments nationwide. The Engineer – Equipment IV – In Building/Venue will play a critical role on the National In-Building PMO team, leading the engineering, procurement, and deployment of advanced in‑building wireless solutions.

• Design and implement equipment solutions for in‑building and venue projects (Corning, Ericsson, Samsung, Nokia, Cisco, Fujitsu).
• Engineer and deploy 4G LTE and 5G technologies in collaboration with RF, Construction, and Transport teams.
• Calculate power and cooling requirements; design rack layouts and review construction drawings.
• Manage equipment procurement, vendor relationships, forecasting, and capital spend alignment.
• Develop and maintain delivery schedules; drive vendors to meet project milestones.
• Document designs, purchases, and material releases in internal systems (e.g., FUZE, Site Tracker).
• Lead executive‑level project update meetings and provide strategic reporting.
• Apply agile project management methodologies to ensure on‑time, on‑budget delivery.
• Support DAS provisioning, commissioning, integration, troubleshooting, and closeout packages.
• Provide technical expertise for network elements deployed in enterprise in‑building environments.

• 7+ years of telecommunications experience as an Equipment Engineer or Construction Engineer.
• In‑depth experience with IB OEMs (Corning, Ericsson, Samsung, Nokia, Cisco, Fujitsu).
• Strong knowledge of 4G LTE, 5G network architecture, CRAN, LAA, and CBRS technologies.
• Proven experience managing large‑scale, cross‑functional network infrastructure projects.
• Expertise in power/cooling calculations, rack design, and vendor management.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint, Access; strong project management skills.
• Experience with risk assessments, mitigation planning, and capital forecasting.
• Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking abilities.
• Valid driver’s license.

• Master’s degree or PMI certification.
• IBwave Level 3 certification.
• Experience with Confluence, JIRA, FUZE, and other telecom project tools.
• Background in DAS, enterprise 5G deployments, and backend process optimization.
• Ability to thrive in dynamic environments and support flexible hours as needed.
