Schedule:

Balance your work and personal life with a schedule offering four 10-hour shifts per week, predictable daytime OR hours (with some variability), and weekend call distributed amongst the team. What You'll Do:
Perform a variety of open and endoscopic vein harvesting techniques (including Maquet Vasoview
2) as the primary harvester. Assist surgeons in all cardiothoracic cases as a first or second assistant. Place arterial lines and perform other related procedures within the operating room setting. Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient and high-quality patient care. Who You Are:
National Certification as a Physician Assistant (NCCPA) or Board Certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery (preferred) (required). Current and active license to practice medicine in California (required). ACLS, BLS, and DEA certifications (required).

Experience with endoscopic vein harvesting techniques and a strong foundation in cardiothoracic surgery principles (preferred). Excellent surgical skills, first assisting experience, and strong technical abilities in a sterile environment. The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team setting. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and colleagues. Strong work ethic, time management skills, and the ability to manage a fast-paced surgical environment.

This position is available for a full-time (1.0 FTE) or part-time (0.75 FTE) schedule, depending on your desired workload.
