Job Description Overview

3M is seeking Coating Operator candidates in Rockland, MA. This position operates 24/7 with multiple shifts including days, evenings, overnights, weekends, and 12-hour shifts.

Note:

if you are selected for an overnight, evening or weekend shift, you may be brought onto a different shift initially for training purposes before starting on your actual shift.

• Pay starting: $25.30 + Shift Differentials

• Ensure the efficient setup and production of quality material on the assigned coating line
• Coordinate job changeovers, monitor the master control panel, and accurately record and enter production data, including test results
• Provide guidance and instruction to personnel on the line as needed
• Complete accurately and in a timely manner all required production reports and quality data entries using PMCS/OPRA and designated software
• Review Manufacturing Order schedule and prepare/plan for upcoming production runs
• Lead and coordinate production runs to meet targets based on job specifications and work instructions
• Promote and maintain a safe working environment at all times
• Maintain housekeeping at machine areas according to established standards
• Master all controls and consoles related to the whole operation on the line
• Be proficient in web handling and alignment, coat weight variables, tension control, all coating methods, NDC scanners, web drying settings, and safety controls
• Monitor and document productivity results as well as reasons for misses using designated tools

• Possess a High School Diploma/GED or higher completed and verified prior to start
• Minimum one (1) year of plant and/or manufacturing experience in a public, private, government, or military environment

The starting rate of pay for this position is $25.30 per hour, with the potential to reach $31.35. This range represents a good faith estimate and may vary based on factors including knowledge, training, skills, location, and experience. The position may be eligible for a range of benefits.
