Position: School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) - Rockland, Maine

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one nursing care to a male high school student with epilepsy, mobility challenges, and dysphagia
• Assist with toileting and other personal care requirements
• Monitor the student closely during bus rides, ensuring safety and well-being
• Collaborate with school staff to support the student's health plan
• Complete nursing duties and assist with general health-related tasks on days when the student is absent

Qualifications &

Experience:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure required
• Previous experience in school nursing or pediatric care preferred
• Ability to support students with complex medical conditions including epilepsy and mobility limitations
• Comfort and skill in providing toileting assistance
• Good communication skills and the ability to work closely with educational staff and families

Location:

Rockland, Maine

This position provides consistent work throughout the school year with additional duties on days the primary student is not present, ensuring valuable engagement within the school community. The role also involves supervising bus travel, offering a unique dimension of care and responsibility.
