This is a full-time on-site role located in the Carolinas for an Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist. The EHS Specialist will be responsible for implementing and maintaining safety and health programs, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, conducting safety audits and inspections, and developing training programs for employees. The role also entails investigating incidents and recommending corrective actions, managing safety documentation, and collaborating with management to promote a strong safety culture.
Qualifications- Knowledge of Environmental, Health, and Safety regulations and standards, including OSHA and EPA requirements
- Proficiency in conducting safety audits, inspections, and incident investigations
- Ability to develop and deliver safety training and educational programs
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Experience with maintaining safety records, reports, and documentation
- Proficiency in using safety management systems and MS Office Suite
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health, Safety, or a related field preferred
- Previous experience in construction, heavy equipment, or industrial safety is a plus
- Certification such as OSHA 30-hour, CSP, CHST or MESH is advantageous
