Student Assistant 2 – Wayne County Department: FAES | Wayne County-JM

OSU Extension – Wayne (1574), Wooster, OH

Flexible. Up to 28 hours while taking classes and up to 38 hours during the summer and/or academic breaks.

Responsibilities will be moderate and less routine, requiring responsibility and good judgment. May coordinate activities for other student employees. Requires providing excellent customer service, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work in a professional environment. Requires previous experience and knowledge or skill in a student assistant role. Represents the department and the university with the highest degree of integrity and applies OSU mission and shared values.

The student assistant will support educational programming and community engagement in Wayne County, Ohio. The student will work directly with Extension professionals and staff who lead efforts to address community‑based issues. The student will support 4‑H Youth Development programs designed for youth and adult audiences, assist with preparing educational materials, conduct community‑based programs, and participate in professional and public meetings.
