Position: Aircraft Maintenance Technician- A&P Mechanic (Part-Time)

Overview

Join Flight check Commercial Aviation Services as an Aircraft Maintenance Technician – A&P Mechanic (Part‑Time) in Rockford, IL. Flight check provides technical handling, aircraft de‑icing, and limited ground handling for over 25 airlines.

Responsibilities
  • Perform all aircraft maintenance activities in accordance with Flight check’s RSM, QCM, customer procedures, FARs, and all applicable rules and regulations.
  • Accomplish job functions to the highest safety, quality, reliability, and efficient standards.
  • Complete aircraft maintenance work assignments to ensure aircraft airworthiness.
  • Read, interpret, and comply with all aircraft maintenance manuals and other maintenance documents.
  • Be customer service‑oriented.
  • Ensure all company, customer, and regulatory documents are complete and accurate.
  • Properly use and operate support equipment (i.e., servicing units, jacks, lifts, calibrated tooling, etc).
  • Occasional travel.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Valid A&P certificate and State Driver’s License.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English and interpret technical data.
  • Can lift and move up to 70 pounds.
  • Pass background check and pre‑employment drug screening.
  • Can climb ladders ranging from 6 to 10 feet tall.
Preferred
  • 2+ years of experience.
  • Experience with B777‑200/300, B767‑200/300, B737NG
    /MAX.
  • Exposure to fumes, airborne particles, toxic chemicals, moving mechanical parts.
  • Experience working in wet/humid conditions and high heat.
  • Ability to work in a loud environment.
