Terminal Operator

Position Overview

The Terminal Operator is responsible for accurately processing and shipping UPS, DHL, and Fed Ex packages using systems such as UPS World Ship, World Ease, Trade Direct, DHL, and Fed Ex Ship Manager. This position is a key member of our shipping department and plays a critical role in ensuring that all customer orders are correctly prepared and dispatched. This is a fast-paced and dynamic position that requires strong attention to detail, managing the final step in our order fulfillment process to ensure that our customers receive their products accurately and on time.

• Communicate with the credit manager for credit card orders via AIM or phone.
• Print and apply address labels using UPS World Ship, World Ease, Trade Direct, DHL, and Fed Ex Ship Manager Systems.
• Scale, scan, and measure boxes for shipment to ensure compliance with shipping regulations.
• Collaborate daily with the Shipping Lead regarding shipping timelines and deadlines.
• Prepare manual invoices for consolidated orders through various shipping systems.
• Monitor inventory levels of shipping supplies and report shortages to management.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with safety regulations.
• Assist in training new team members on shipping processes and systems as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management to support the shipping department.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Intermediate ERP skills.
• Basic math skills.
• Basic computer software skills.
• Acute attention to detail, and the ability to follow detailed written instructions.
• Knowledge of proper state abbreviations and country codes.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

• Ability to lift items up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to walk and stand up to 8 hours per day.

• Warehouse environment with moderate noise from power industrial trucks
