Overview p>
The Non‑Certified Electrician will provide electrical expertise to lead the installation of residential solar systems and batteries to ensure conformance to existing national and local building codes. Depending on state requirements, the Non‑Certified Electrician performs or assists in a variety of electrical摆 work including main panel upgrades (MPUs), electrical troubleshooting and service work as well as commissioning. This position will also work with the PV installation crew, filling in and performing other duties when necessary, including leading the crew in the absence of the Foreman.

Responsibilities ul> li>
Lead the installation of electrical systems that interconnect our solar array to the Нат grid power of our customer’s residential property
li>Ensure work performed is of good workmanship and compliant with current NEC and local codes
li>Safely plan and complete solar battery installations and MPUs as assigned and depending on state electrical certification requirements
li>Troubleshoot system problems and resolve electrical issues
li>Work with branch team and home owners to fulfill or assist in any necessary system upgrades/repairs to support our solar equipment
li>Work with local inspectors to satisfy local requirements and expectations as assigned
li>Demonstrate knowledge of OSHA standards related to photovoltaic installations and enforce safety practices and standards
li>Additional duties assigned as needed
li>5% travel required
/ul> h3>Qualifications ul> li>
strat high school diploma or equivalent
li>Must possess 75% of the hours required to sit for state specific electrical certification exams
li>Electrical installation and repair experience required. Experience with electrical work involving wiring up to 600 VDC and 480 VAC
li>Working knowledge and experience replacing residential electrical services and distribution panels preferred
li>LICENSE AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS (include where appropriate)
li>Must maintain a clean driving record with the ability to pass a driving background check. Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license.
li>Certified electrical trainee preferred or required depending on state requirements
li>Electrical/PV Installation Knowledge:
Working knowledge of current NEC codes. Ability to interpret single line drawings and PV systems from roof to meter. Demonstrates knowledge of electrical principles as it pertains to solar interconnection/tie‑in and code and how PV systems operate. Understands interconnection activities. Understands basic construction principles.
Safety:
Adheres to company COPD policies and procedures including ability to identify and report safety hazards, and the ability to encourage others to work safely

Ability to establish rapport, build relationships and loyalty with external and internal customers and coworkers, and remains tactful when communicating
