Dober is seeking a results-driven Regional Sales Manager to lead growth of our Soltellus soil amendment portfolio across the Midwest (OH, MI, WI, IL, IN). This individual will be responsible for driving new business, strengthening distributor relationships, managing key accounts, and expanding our footprint within the agronomy channel.
This role combines strategic sales execution, territory development, technical customer engagement, and CRM discipline. The ideal candidate has experience in crop inputs, biologicals, or specialty agronomy products and thrives in a field-based, relationship-driven environment.
This role will travel ~75% of the time, depending on grower priorities.
Key Responsibilities Revenue Growth & Business Development- Drive sales of Dober Soltellus products to meet and exceed regional revenue targets
- Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities across retailers, distributors, and growers
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline; progress opportunities from prospect to close
- Develop and execute territory growth plans aligned with company objectives
- Manage and expand the regional distribution network
- Support distributors with training, product positioning, and joint sales calls
- Develop new channel partnerships to expand market penetration
- Collaborate with inside sales and cross-functional teams to support customer success
- Maintain and grow relationships with key accounts
- Conduct joint customer visits with agronomists and technical team members
- Deliver technical and commercial presentations to retailers, distributors, and growers
- Provide product education and field support to drive adoption
- Represent Dober at industry conferences, trade shows, and seminars
- Present at events and customer meetings to generate leads and enhance brand visibility
- Build relationships with key influencers in the regional agronomy community
- Maintain accurate customer data, opportunity tracking, and pipeline reporting in Hub Spot
- Utilize CRM data to inform territory strategy and forecasting
- Provide market feedback to support pricing, positioning, and growth strategy
- Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Crop Science, Agriculture Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of sales experience in crop inputs, biologicals, fertilizers, or specialty ag products
- Demonstrated success managing a multi-state territory
- Experience working with agricultural distributors and retailers
- Proficiency with CRM systems (Hub Spot preferred)
- Willingness to travel extensively within OH, MI, WI, IL and IN
- Experience selling soil amendment products or biological crop inputs
- Strong presentation and public speaking skills
- Technical aptitude to co-present with agronomists and discuss agronomic value propositions
- Existing network within Midwest agronomy channel
