OverviewThe Residential Sales Consultant sells Pella® windows and doors directly to homeowners for replacement projects. Through in-home consultations, this role identifies customer needs, presents customized solutions, and strives for first-time close. Consultants are also expected to build their pipeline through referrals and networking to maximize earning potential.
What You’ll Do- Sell Pella window and door solutions through in-home consultations
- Work toward first-time close with strong follow-up when needed
- Prepare accurate quotes and orders using established sales processes
- Resolve customer questions with internal sales support partners
- Build deep product knowledge and understand competitive offerings
- Conduct after-sale follow-up and generate referrals
- Represent Pella at events, home shows, and presentations
- Use CRM tools to manage customer relationships
- Maintain availability for evening and weekend appointments
- This position offers a base salary of $60,000 plus uncapped commission, standard IRS mileage reimbursement, and paid training. We also provide a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and 401K match, and more. This is a performance-based role with unlimited earning potential—our compensation plan rewards results. - Self-motivated, resilient, and goal-driven
- Comfortable learning technical and construction-related concepts
- Collaborative team player who works well independently
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, smart devices, and CRM tools
- Bachelor’s degree OR 1–2 years of related sales experience (or equivalent)
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable motor vehicle record
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Professional appearance in line with company standards
- Local travel to customer homes, job sites, showrooms, and events
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally
