The Route Sales Support (RSS) Driver builds solid, positive working relationships with customers and is highly motivated to exceed their expectations and requirements. Vestis operates in a very competitive environment and a successful Route Sales Support Driver must be able to balance exceptional customer service with meeting and exceeding individual sales growth goals. Responsibilities/EssentialFunctions
- Safely operate a company step van in designated area to provide products and service to a variety of clients.
- Verify daily preventative maintenance of vehicle and maintain proper operator documentation.
- Manage daily route independently to ensure accurate and timely delivery of product.
- Load/unload product per company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Review invoices daily for complete and accurate information and make corrections as needed.
- Meet sales goals and promote overall route growth to enhance profitability.
- Develop leads/prospects, call on prospective customers to solicit business, prepare service agreements, and install new accounts.
- Assist the sales organization with the procurement of additional new business.
- Possess a strong understanding of services, policies, and pricing methods and clearly communicate these to customers.
- Monitor customer feedback and handle customer issues in a prompt and courteous manner.
- Take responsibility for personal safety and watch out for the safety of others; use safe precautions, proper tools, equipment, and adhere to all safe work practices and policies.
- Perform other duties as required or assigned within the scope described above.
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age, have a valid driver’s license with three years of driving experience, and an excellent driving record.
- Customer service experience with a wide variety of consistent customer contact.
- Strong math and basic computer skills.
- Demonstrated experience selling services/products and generating new business preferred.
- Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills required.
- Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and think quickly to identify/solve customer concerns.
- Working conditions may involve exposure to adverse and varying weather conditions, including extreme hot/cold temperatures depending on location.
- Fast-paced environment with irregular and long hours at times.
- Physical requirements:
routinely lift and maneuver a minimum of 25 lbs; load/unload product from truck without assistance; occasionally lift and maneuver 50+ lbs; bending, squatting, climbing, and reaching.
- High school degree or equivalent
- Valid Driver’s License

CompensationThe hourly rate for this position is $24.80 depending on circumstances including an applicant’s skills and qualifications, certain degrees and certifications, prior job experience, market data, and other relevant factors.
