Position: Product Demonstrator Part Time - 8297

Overview

The Associate is responsible for completing in‑store food and non‑food demonstrations, acquiring and maintaining knowledge of the represented products, preparing, serving, and breaking down product, equipment, and supplies. The Associate intercepts consumers and demonstrates products in a professional manner, maintaining a professional appearance consistent with job requirements.

Pay Rate

$15.00 per hour.

Responsibilities
  • Possess aptitude and ability to gain adequate knowledge of the products represented.
  • Proactively intercept, engage, interact, and sell product to the consumer in a positive manner.
  • Effectively communicate the features and benefits of the product.
  • Prepare and serve food samples using small appliances (microwaves, fryers, skillets, coffee makers, knives).
  • Maintain a clean, sterile, and safe workstation using cleaning chemicals.
  • Maintain a professional appearance consistent with job requirements.
  • Properly set up and prepare Event Table for execution.
  • Achieve 100% execution on assigned work.
  • Assist with preparation for client visits and complete audit corrections.
  • Build and maintain rapport with store personnel to effectively meet company and client objectives.
  • Complete expense reports as per Company Policy.
  • Accurately prepare and submit all online requirements on the same day as Event execution.
  • Access the internet, navigate company electronic systems, use Microsoft Outlook, and retrieve assigned documents (Microsoft Word & Adobe PDF forms).

This role is not expected to exceed more than 25 hours per week, although the company reserves the discretion to change the role based on business or client needs. Additional job‑related instructions may be performed as directed by management. Each essential duty must be performed satisfactorily; reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.

Qualifications

Education / Experience: High school diploma or GED; preferred one to three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Computer

Skills:

Proficient in using personal computers or mobile devices to run applications and internal systems.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Local food handler permit may be required.

Physical Demands: The Associate will regularly stand and walk for the shift; use hands and fingers; reach overhead up to 65 inches; talk and hear; read instructions; stoop, kneel, squat, climb or step up a ladder; balance; lift and carry up to 25 pounds (occasionally up to 50 pounds); push and pull a wheeled demonstration cart laden with appliances, supplies, and product;

prepare foods and beverages using required appliances; be in contact with cleaning supplies.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None.

Work Environment: Retail store environment with limited travel.

Physical Appearance: Must present a neat, clean, and appropriately groomed appearance. Specific retailer dress code requirements are included in training documents.
