Assistant Store Manager at O'Reilly Auto Parts
We are looking for an energetic and customer‑focused Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in sales, customer service, store appearance, and daily operations. The candidate will manage the store when the Store Manager is absent and lead the team in providing excellent service to both retail and professional customers.
Compensation: $15.00 – $20.00 per hour (actual hourly rate will meet or exceed local minimum wage; additional hourly or annual premiums may apply).
Responsibilities- Lead store team in delivering excellent customer service and executing customer service programs.
- Supervise customer service levels in the retail showroom and ensure proper staffing during peak hours.
- Assist in setting team member goals, providing feedback, coaching, and staying current on training.
- Participate in the hiring process: schedule and conduct interviews, evaluate candidates, and collaborate on selection.
- Maintain phone response policy, handle online/ship-to-store orders, special orders, and outside purchases.
- Process retail returns and exchanges accurately and efficiently.
- Invoice merchandise, including core charges and warranties, prior to shipment.
- Communicate Zipline messages, Image Maker, and merchandising tasks to team.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, schedules, and clock‑in/out procedures.
- Perform opening/closing duties, day‑end procedures, cash handling, bank deposits, and security protocols.
- Assist in maintaining store building, parking lot, signage, equipment, and delivery vehicles.
- Complete any other duties as assigned.
Required:
- Sales Specialist Training, Assistant Manager Certification, and RSS Certification.
Desired:
- Certified Parts Professional Certification; ASE Certification.
- Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired).
