Expected pay for this position is $60.39 - $68.10/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is a Salaried position.

Overview

JOB SPECIFICS

  • We are seeking a skilled and compassionate APN or PA to join our Preanesthesia Clinic team. In this role, you will play a critical part in optimizing patients for surgery by conducting comprehensive preoperative assessments, identifying and managing risk factors, and collaborating with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure the highest standards of safety and quality. As an APPin our clinic, you will have the opportunity to lead patient-centered care, streamline the surgical pathway, and contribute to innovative practices that enhance outcomes and patient experience.

    This position is ideal for a highly motivated provider who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about advancing perioperative care.
  • This provider will build a very close relationship with our established team of surgeons, APPs and RNs
  • Ideally, this provider will have strong assessment skills, fast learner, driven for growth and opportunity, ability to thrive independently.
  • Familiarity with orthopedic, vascular, neurosciences and gastroenterology specialties is preferred
  • Hybrid role between inpatient and outpatient care
  • Inpatient duties
    -Potential chart review/optimization in the future for optimizing patients prior to surgery, up to 15 patients per day.
  • Outpatient Duties - Collaborate with anesthesia surgeons and RNs to educate and provide care to 6-8 patients per day.
  • Schedule:

    M-F, no call, weekends or holidays

  • Clinical base hourly pay range for this position: $60.39--$73.68.
    • Range shown should be used as an estimate and can be impacted by many factors including but not limited to the critical need of the position, overall experience and qualifications, community need, and other considerations. Additional compensation components may be applicable such as bonuses or incentives which may or may not be based on metric achievement.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care that is appropriate to the ages of the patients served. Licensed to provide either an advanced practice nursing services in the State of Illinois as issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation in accordance with the Illinois Nurse Practice Act] OR [physician assistant services as issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation in accordance with the Illinois Physician Assistant Practice Act of 1987 ("Act") Licensed by the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration and State of Illinois for prescribing of narcotics.

BLS/ALS Certified Experience is preferred however; new graduates will be considered.
