Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) – Day Shift

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) to join our dynamic Emergency Department team. This role is ideal for a confident clinician who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.

Requirements

  • Active Illinois (IL) RN License
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications required
  • TNCC or TNS required
  • Emergency Department experience preferred
  • Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills

Schedule

  • Day shift
  • Weekend and holiday rotation required

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to provide comprehensive patient care
  • Perform patient assessments, planning, interventions, and evaluations of care
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies and procedures, standards of care, and state laws/practice act
  • Develop, initiate, and implement individualized patient plans of care per physician orders and clinic policy, including patient and family education
  • Document patient care accurately and timely according to standards of care
  • Participate in department or unit performance improvement activities, including shared governance
  • Provide clinical expertise and guidance to other units/departments to support patients’ longitudinal plans of care
  • Apply critical thinking related to patient safety and patient experience, escalating concerns through the appropriate chain of command
  • Participate in the professional nursing continuum process, including unit practice activities, decision-making, and peer review
