• Active Illinois RN License required
• Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Room RN experience
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) or TNS (Trauma Nurse Specialist) certification

• Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Room, utilizing the nursing process and collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Administer medications and treatments according to nursing standards, hospital policies, and Illinois state laws
• Document patient care accurately and timely in accordance with ER protocols
• Perform patient assessments, develop individualized care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families on care plans and discharge instructions
• Participate in unit-based performance improvement and professional development activities
• Support other clinical units as needed and apply critical thinking to ensure patient safety
• Engage in peer review and continuous nursing education
