Base pay range$45.00/hr - $45.00/hr
Shifts- 12 HOUR SHIFTS
- AM SHIFT 6AM - 6PM
- NOC SHIFT 6PM-6AM
Responsible for providing direct nursing care to customers and supervising the daily nursing activities performed by nursing assistants, in accordance with current standards, guidelines, regulations, and facility policies to ensure high-quality care.
Qualifications- Current, unencumbered RN or LPN license in Illinois and/or Wisconsin.
- Current CPR certification or certification within two weeks of employment.
- Knowledge of nursing and medical practices.
- Interest or experience in elder care.
- Proficiency in English.
- Ability to make independent decisions.
- Effective communication skills with customers, families, and staff.
- Leadership and supervisory abilities.
- Personable, enthusiastic, resourceful.
- Mobility throughout the workday.
- Ability to cope with mental and emotional stress.
- Good vision/hearing or suitable prosthetics.
- Ability to work independently and effectively with various individuals.
- Good health and emotional stability.
- Ability to lift/move over 50 pounds.
- Exposure to infectious materials possible.
- Support and follow directives from authorities.
- Plan, develop, and evaluate care for customers.
- Follow nursing procedures and protocols.
- Supervise and instruct staff.
- Ensure policy compliance and proper dress code.
- Develop and implement care plans.
- Participate in care conferences and report concerns.
- Discipline and counsel staff as needed.
- Perform rounds, monitor staff duties, and ensure procedures are followed.
- Create a positive, calm environment.
- Attend continuing education.
- Recommend equipment and supply needs.
- Order medications and treatments.
- Complete documentation and reports.
- Coordinate diagnostic and therapeutic services.
- Notify physicians and families of changes.
- Perform assessments, record vital signs, and manage medications.
- Ensure proper documentation of care and incidents.
- Attend staff meetings and perform other duties as assigned.
