RN Certified Clinical Program Coordinator
The RN Program Coordinator is responsible for system-wide coordination of all aspects of the application, designation, and re-designation processes, and for ensuring that standards are understood and evidence-based practice and performance excellence are integrated throughout the organization. The role also has primary responsibility for coordinating clinical quality and performance improvement activities at Mercy Health Treatment Center (MHTC). The Coordinator reports to the System Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), partners with section CNOs, and advances the organization’s strategic goals while maintaining high visibility with nursing staff at all hospitals and clinics.
Responsibilities- Uses exceptional communication, organizational and interpersonal skills to serve as the project manager for coordination of programs.
- Oversees and coordinates the application process for programs.
- Collaborates with the Nursing Practice Council and Nursing Leadership to ensure coordination and facilitation for an action plan that brings vision to reality.
- Supports departments in various Performance Improvement activities while working closely with the Department of Quality.
- Identifies opportunities and solutions that foster change and advance program initiatives.
- Develops and mentors the role of program Champions in all departments in the system where nurses practice.
- Develops and mentors the Nursing Practice Council Chairs across the system and oversees the development of a Shared Governance Model in all entities.
- Develops a communication plan which keeps nurses across the system informed and linked together.
- Develop a plan to educate all partners of Mercy Health System; familiar with components of program environments and champion strategies across the system.
- The MHTC Nursing Quality and Performance Improvement Coordinator collaborates with Quality, Medical Management, Nursing Informatics, and Nursing Leadership to ensure direct care nurses use quality data to drive improvement, identify educational opportunities, lead improvement strategies, serve as a consultant, manage data boards, support TJC preparation, assess and optimize data collection, and expand reporting to Press Ganey.

Education And Experience- Required:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or current BSN student. Preferred:
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or current MSN student. - Minimum 5 to 7 years of progressively responsible hospital nursing experience.
- Demonstrated success with Project Management.
- Experience with interpretation and display of data.
- Licensed professional nurse in the state where the primary location is.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and consensus building skills; genuine concern for people; strong verbal and written communication; adept listener.
