The Marketing Specialist reports to the Manager, Digital Brand and Charitable Engagement and is responsible for maintaining complete and accurate online listings and profiles for the Ortho Illinois, Ortho Illinois Surgery Center, Ortho Midwest Surgery Center, Injury Express, and individual physician brands. This coordinator will seek additional content opportunities to optimize listing performance and responsiveness to Large Language Model (LLMs) queries.

The coordinator will assist in fulfilling Marketing Materials Re-Order requests, serve as back up for social media posting and responsiveness, and other duties as assigned to meet organizational goals and needs.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assume Administrator management of known online listings and profiles (E.g. Google Business, Health grades, WebMD/Vitals, RateMDs, YEXT, Linked In, Yelp, etc.) to ensure accurate content. This includes adding/establishing new provider information and updating current listings/profiles as needed.
  • Produce video content, meeting Marketing Director approval, for use on online listings/profiles that optimize brand/physician reputation, SEO, and agentic AI searches (information-based queries).
  • Post associated announcements/news releases, patient education, blogs, etc. to online profiles allowing these additions.
  • Seek new ideas and strategies for on-going and strategic optimization of online brand awareness and preference in an evolving and fast-paced technology environment.
  • Assist Marketing Director in maintaining and adding content to Ortho Illinois webpages.
  • Support Manager, Digital Brand & Charitable Engagement with social media posts and responsiveness to viewer engagement.
  • Fulfill brand and educational printed content requests through execution of on-demand production printing, cutting, and folding; ensures delivery of materials.
  • Assist, as needed, with internal and external events and activities, including employee parties, public education events, symposiums, and networking events.
  • Support the Marketing Director in the execution of special projects and marketing communication efforts, including strategic development, promotional and staff engagement activities, and meetings.
  • Assist Manager, Digital Brand & Charitable Engagement in the utilization of corporate suite at local entertainment venue, including collecting and tracking ticket sale proceeds.
  • Exude responsive, polite, and helpful service to internal and external customers seeking Marketing Department services.

Education and Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, or communications/public relations from a four-year college or university, preferred; related and relevant successful experience performing similar duties in a business environment will be considered.
  • Advanced working knowledge of social media and online reputation platforms.
  • Advanced Working knowledge of Word Press platform.
  • Advance working knowledge of generating video on a mobile phone and Adobe video editing software.
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Edge and Office suite tools.
