Position OverviewWe’re seeking a full‑time, energetic team member to join our in‑house Bindery Department. In this role, you’ll be hands‑on in the final stages of production, ensuring every printed piece meets our high standards for accuracy and finish.
Key Responsibilities Bindery & Finishing- Set up, operate, and maintain finishing equipment (cutters, folders, stitchers, binding machines).
- Perform hand assembly, collating, padding, shrink‑wrapping, and other finishing tasks.
- Conduct visual inspections and test runs to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Make adjustments as needed to maintain consistent output.
- Operate folder‑inserter machines for automated folding and envelope stuffing.
- Perform match checks to ensure correct document/envelope pairing.
- Set up and run inkjet addressing systems, ensuring USPS readability and color consistency.
- Use a forklift to move raw materials and finished goods.
- Load/unload trailers and prepare shipments with proper packaging and shrink‑wrapping.
- Assist with general shipping, receiving, and department support as needed.
- Perform routine operator‑level maintenance on bindery and mailing equipment.
- Clear jams and resolve basic mechanical issues to minimize downtime.
- Previous experience in bindery, print production, or related manufacturing environment.
- Basic understanding of print production, prepress, or layout concepts.
- Ability to read job tickets and follow detailed instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
- Mechanical aptitude and interest in hands‑on work.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Monday–
Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (includes a 30‑minute break). Fridays are reserved for overtime projects as needed.
