Job DetailsTitle: Manufacturing Engineer
Hours: Full time, Salaried position. Expected workload is 40 hours per week, in person 5 days per week at our facility, with significant schedule overlap with our production team from 6:00 am-2:00 pm Monday to Friday
Reports to: Director of Manufacturing Operations
Pay range: $75,000-$85,000 plus profit sharing and full benefits

Duties and Responsibilities Include- Subject Matter Expert on production processes including soapmaking, powder making, and filling operations
- Lean six sigma and process improvement champion
- Troubleshooting equipment and process issues and working to improve and update equipment and processes for cost, efficiency, quality, reliability, and capacity
- Measuring production capacity, labor times and standard work times to create and maintain Value Stream Maps of operations
- Using data and bottleneck analysis to prioritize processes for new equipment purchases and process updates
- Implementing and managing processes for quality checks for products
- Understanding, creating, documenting and updating Standard Operating Procedures for production-related activities such as Preventive Maintenance for equipment
- Other responsibilities as needed
- 3+ years of experience in manufacturing and process improvements, preferably in consumer packaged goods industry
- Demonstrated proficiency in data-driven decision making
- Experience in change management and process change implementation
- Exceedingly well organized, flexible, and able to work in a fast-paced environment, eager to learn, detail-oriented, and focused on the success of the team and company as a whole
- Mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting equipment (including mixing, cutting, filling, conveyors, material handling equipment, etc.)
- Demonstrated experience or interest in sustainability and environmental impact efforts
- Experience with Lean Six Sigma tools, preferably including certification such as ASQ Certified Six Sigma Green or Black Belt
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field such as engineering
- Lift/carry boxes up to 50 lbs., operate freight elevator, and operate a manual or electric pallet jack/stacker
- Fluent in written and spoken English;
Spanish language skills are a plus
Salary: $75,000 - $85,000 per year
