Skilled - Maintenance Technician

Overview

Maintenance Technician position with QPS Employment Group in Rockford, IL. This is a 1st shift, direct hire position.

Shift: 1st;

Hours:

5:00am-3:00pm. Salary: $58,240-$68,640 per year.

• Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
• Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Utilizes skills including but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting, and repair of production machines.
• Diagnoses problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
• Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.
• Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to supervisor.
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
• Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.

• Requires a high school diploma/GED.
• An AA degree or certification in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance a plus.
• 3 to 5 years of manufacturing maintenance experience; strong CNC Machine Tool repair experience, AC/DC drive controls, PLC's and Hydraulics.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• Must be highly motivated and able to work independently.
• Must be a team player with a positive outlook.
