Job Description :

The quality inspector will travel to various supplier facilities to perform visual and dimensional inspections on manufactured parts, assemblies, and/or sub-assemblies. Parts will be inspected according to engineering drawings, customer purchase orders, industry standards, and specifications. The inspector will report inspection accept/reject information directly to the customer via a web application.

Requirements :

Candidate must have practical experience performing in-process and final inspections on wires, harnesses, and cables to IPC-620 standards. Inspections will be performed according to engineering requirements specified per IPC-620 or equivalent standards. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and Purchase Orders (POs) is essential. Experience performing First Article Inspections (FAIs) in accordance with the AS9102 standard is required. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience in aerospace or military/defense manufacturing inspections and be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Candidates should be computer savvy and own a laptop for this assignment.

Preferred Qualifications : Candidates currently certified to IPC-620 are highly desirable.
