Fehr Graham Engineering & Environmental is a fast‑growing Midwest engineering and environmental firm looking for a dynamic and motivated Branch Manager to join our team in Rockford, IL.
CompensationSalary: $120,000 – $165,000 / year
LocationRockford, IL
What you’ll doAs the Branch Manager, you’ll orchestrate efficiency, net profit and net revenue while minimizing write‑offs and rework. You’ll also:
- Handle day‑to‑day branch operations, including overseeing personnel.
- Develop relationships with managers, senior leadership and marketing to define market and client opportunities and strategies.
- Turn prospects into clients by building relationships and trust.
- Maintain client relationships with key decision makers based on Fehr Graham’s Core Values.
- Lead projects using resources to accurately invoice clients within budget.
- Prepare client contracts, statements of qualifications, fee proposals and contracts.
- Effectively communicate ideas and technical concepts to coworkers and clients on sensitive and complex matters.
- Understand client needs and apply innovative thinking to solve problems and capture opportunities.
- Track record of working with and serving local clients.
- Effectively manage multidisciplinary teams to serve diverse client needs.
- Ensure quality control for projects and clients.
- Develop and maintain a high level of understanding of market, client and technology trends and advancement.
- Attend meetings and community and industry events.
- Follow/research industry trends and communicate back to the team.
- Prepare and present formal client presentations.
- Maintain client confidentiality for all project work.
- Recruit, develop, coach and mentor staff.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering or related field preferred.
- Eight or more years of experience in staff supervision, client relations, business development and project management.
- Experience in the consulting industry.
- Licensed preferred in your discipline.
- Strong understanding of federal, state and local regulations related to engineering projects.
- Proven track record of successfully managing projects and people.
- Desire and ability to empower professionals with industry knowledge to improve processes and client satisfaction.
