Executive Director

On behalf of our client, Northern Illinois Hospice ((Use the "Apply for this Job" box below).), Furst Execs is recruiting and evaluating candidates for the Executive Director, Northern Illinois Hospice Foundation position.

Northern Illinois Hospice Foundation was established in October 2013 as a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit charitable organization. The Foundation’s mission is to assist in funding the operation, educational activities and services of Northern Illinois Hospice, working to ensure that quality hospice care options are available to all those in need in our community.

The Executive Director, Northern Illinois Hospice Foundation will be an active and valuable participant in the continued growth and prosperity of Northern Illinois Hospice.

• The qualified candidate will have a minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in fund development, and demonstrated success in soliciting major gifts.
• Track record of prospecting, cultivating, and successfully closing donor gifts.
• A Certified Fund-Raising Executive certification (CFRE) is preferred or achieved within two years of hire.
• Annual fundraising experience is required.
• An undergraduate degree in business or a related field; an advanced degree is a plus.
• The Executive Director will have demonstrated ability to supervise and direct professional and administrative personnel; knowledge of corporate business management; superior communications skills and public relations skills.
