Join Rosecrance Behavioral Health as a Unit Specialist for the Adult unit during the 2nd shift (Fri to Tues). This role involves overseeing clients struggling with addiction and providing daily counseling, including individual, case management, group, and educational activities.
Position PurposeYou will actively oversee clients struggling with addiction, ensuring the provision of daily counseling sessions within a safe and therapeutic environment. Collaborate with the team to deliver comprehensive addiction treatment services and facilitate the integration of recovery principles into clients’ daily lives.
Job Requirements- High School Diploma or GED
- One year of addiction treatment experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Valid driver’s license and ability to meet Agency insurance requirements
- Own transportation
- Certified Addictions Counselor (CADC) or ability to be certified within 24 months
- Skilled in behavioral management techniques
- Ability to coordinate and present lectures for patients, parents, and community resources

- Work hours prescribed by leadership, with flexibility for additional hours as needed.
- Direct contact and counseling, supervising clients’ behavior and providing appropriate behavioral interventions and consequences.
- Implement therapeutic activities.
- Coordinate and supervise client recreational activities.
- Monitor assigned clients by consulting with the addiction counselor to develop and implement the individual treatment plan, including scheduling sessions for AA step work and treatment objectives.
- Ensure that client service records are maintained consistently with laws, rules, and regulations.
- Develop and present the client lecture schedule.
- Observe, monitor, and record group dynamics.
- Facilitate focal group discussion sessions.
- Perform general cleaning duties as required.
- Consult with members of the treatment team and plan daily therapeutic direction for the designated shift.
- Read all logs and obtain pertinent information from staff of previous shifts, counselors, teachers, etc.
- Oversee the neatness of the unit and the proper use of equipment and supplies, reporting necessary repairs.
- Serve as a member of the Clinical Team and participate in all team meetings and activities.
- Understand and comply with all principles established by the Rosecrance Corporate Compliance Program and Code of Conduct.
- Perform all responsibilities in compliance with the mission, vision, values, and expectations of Rosecrance.
Friday – Tuesday, 2:30 pm – 11:00 pm (2nd shift)

Compensation & Rewards- Starting pay HS/GED – $18.43/hr.
- Starting pay Associates – $19.37/hr.
- Starting pay Bachelors – $20.25/hr.
- Additional $0.50/hr. with CADC certification
- 2nd shift: +$0.25/hr
- 3rd shift: +$0.50/hr
$0.50/hr with CADC certification
Sign‑On Bonus$2,000 paid out within the first 9 months of hire.
