Mechanical Test Stand Design Engineer

• Designs mechanical components and systems for power generation, transmission, and distribution products
• Documents drawings, schematics, diagrams, and specifications of test equipment
• Development and documentation of performance, design, calibration and maintenance requirements for test stands
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams from engineering, quality, and operations to design and implement engineering and qualifications tests.
• Lead and participate in design of test equipment for military gearboxes (multiple output pads @ high torque) and pumps (high HP, pressure, & flow).
• Project Management

• Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 3+ years aerospace test stand design experience
• Works independently and as part of a cross‑functional engineering team ensuring work is completed on time, within quality standards, per specifications and contracts, and within budget constraints
• Knowledge of engineering and testing procedures.
• Due to the nature of the work, you must be a US Citizen

$91K to $96K per year

Compensation decisions are made based on factors including experience, skills, education, and other job‑related factors, in accordance with our internal pay structure. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and retirement plan.

This role is an on‑site position located in Rockford, ILL

• You must be able to commute to and from the location with your own transportation arrangements to meet the required working hours.
• Shop floor environment, which may include but not limited to extensive walking, and ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

Due to the nature of the work, zero travel is required.
