A leading global manufacturer in the consumer packaged goods space is seeking a passionate and high‑impact Process Engineer to join its growing operations team. This individual will play a key role in driving operational excellence, optimizing production performance, and elevating process capability across multiple high‑speed manufacturing lines.
What the Process Engineer Will DoThe Process Engineer is responsible for boosting overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), reducing scrap, improving changeover processes, and elevating line reliability across assigned production lines. They will:
- Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives, including packaging material upgrades, equipment enhancements, and new system installations.
- Collaborate closely with cross‑functional partners in Maintenance, R&D, Packaging, Production, Engineering, Continuous Improvement, and Quality to deliver measurable productivity gains.
- Serve as a strong change agent‑motivating, influencing, and developing teams while enhancing operational capability.
- Leverage statistical analysis and key integrated Lean Six Sigma tools (such as 5S, CIL, Centerlines, Visual Standards, and Process Capability methods) to identify and eliminate losses.
- Apply strong engineering judgment to manage complex challenges, guide team decision‑making, and ensure long‑term process stability.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Packaging Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 2-5 years of engineering experience within consumer packaged goods or a similar manufacturing environment.
- Proven hands‑on experience with equipment installation, packaging, successful equipment start‑ups.
- Strong technical knowledge of packaging materials such as corrugated, paperboard, flexible films, and rigid formats.
- Experience with high‑speed packaging systems including VFFS, HFFS, flow wrappers, bottling equipment.
- Background in world‑class manufacturing systems (Lean, TPM, Six Sigma, or High‑Performance Work Systems) strongly preferred.
- Solid problem‑solving skills supported by data analysis‑Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification preferred.
- Demonstrated success leading and coaching cross‑functional teams to deliver quantifiable improvements.
- Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and familiarity with statistical analysis software.
- Willingness to work off‑shifts or weekends based on operational needs.
