The Structural and Mechanical Engineer position is based out of our Byron Clean Energy facility located in Byron, IL.

This Engineering role may be filled as a Mid-level or Senior Engineer. Please see below for the minimum qualifications for each level.

Mid Level - $90,000-$110,000
Senior Level - $117,000-$143,000
Salary ranges are annual and based on experience, in addition to a comprehensive benefits package that includes bonuses and 401(k).

In this role, you will be responsible for conducting engineering and technical tasks under general supervision to support our nuclear plant operations.

• Execute engineering and technical tasks assigned by supervision, applying core engineering principles.
• Ensure all engineering products produced meet applicable safety analyses, industry codes, and regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of efficient processes and techniques in line with established policies and procedures.
• Suggest improvements to the format and methodologies of standard processes and procedures.
• Perform additional responsibilities and duties as per company policy or management direction, including emergency response duties and support of outage activities.

• B.S. in Engineering with a minimum of 2 years of nuclear or related engineering experience.
• Must meet additional requirements as outlined in ANSI/ANS-3.1-2014 Standard, 'Selection, Qualification, and Training of Personnel for Nuclear Power Plants.'
• Maintain unescorted access requirements and pass medical examinations/testing relevant to the position duties.

• B.S. in Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of nuclear or related engineering experience.
• Must meet additional requirements as outlined in ANSI/ANS-3.1-2014 Standard, 'Selection, Qualification, and Training of Personnel for Nuclear Power Plants.'
• Maintain unescorted access requirements and pass medical examinations/testing relevant to the position duties.

• Strong understanding of techniques and functions performed by the engineering team.
