Roles & Responsibilities- Assist in the review of customer specifications and company quotes.
- Develop electrical control designs using national, local and customer specifications.
- Creation of electrical drawing packages for the requisition of parts, system production and PLC/HMI programming.
- Creation of both PLC and HMI programs to both company and customer specifications.
- Conduct the internal system run-off while working with both the project team and the production department.
- Direct support staff, customer employees and outside contractors with the installation and/or repair of the control systems at the customer’s facilities.
- Provide detailed status reports both internally and to the customer as required.
- Provide technical direction, prepare briefings for management and assist in problem resolution specific to the program/project.
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
- Minimum of three years of experience in the design, repair and analysis of control systems and automation.
- Working knowledge of the following specifications: NEC, NFPA
79, and UL508A. - Working knowledge of Auto Cad and Auto Cad Electrical.
- Working knowledge of Allen Bradley Studio 5000, Siemens Simatic Step 7, and TIA Portal.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Comfortable working in industrial facilities such as automotive plants.
- Knowledge of the IEC 60204 and CSA standards.
- Working knowledge of EPLAN.
- Knowledge of other PLC/HMI software from GE, OMRON, Mitsubishi and SQ
D. - Ability to travel up to a maximum of 25%.
- Willingness to participate in a team-oriented environment.
