- Engage with design, manufacture, assembly, and test of our products, requiring high energy, multitasking, and exceptional communication skills.
- Create and follow step‑by‑step assembly and test instructions for specific tasks.
- Research and collaborate with engineering, design staff, government agencies, and customers/suppliers to obtain necessary technical data.
- Document workflows and processes to support product completion and align with AS9100 certification.
The ideal candidate will receive direction, training, certification/recertification, and the tools and equipment needed to successfully complete their functions in assembling this product.
Ideal Candidate- Specific knowledge and experience in aerospace hardware and aircraft repair environments.
- Strong focus and excellent multi‑disciplined communication skills.
Specific Duties
- Cooperate with engineering, sales, manufacturing, suppliers, and customers.
- Support the test equipment needs for each product application.
- Hands‑on work in a shop environment.
- Other duties as assigned by the manager.
- Associate’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of assembly experience.
- Detail oriented with exceptional problem‑solving and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated leadership skills by example and mentoring others.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and methods.
- Ability to read drawings and understand multi‑level BOMs.
- Knowledge of GD&T (ANSI Y14.5M).
- Highly hands‑on, able to use standard aerospace shop equipment (oscilloscopes, meters, test stands, inspection equipment, hand tools).
- Capable of heli‑coil insertion.
- Commitment to process improvement and procedural compliance.
- Understanding of FOD and ESD compliance.
- Understanding of lean principles and 5S.
- U.S. citizenship, no dual citizenship allowed.
- Aerospace experience.
- Knowledge of aerospace traceable configuration management techniques and hardware control requirements.
- Knowledge of certification/qualification testing per DO-160 or MIL‑STD‑810.
- Detailed understanding of AS9100 requirements.
- Certification for soldering space applications electronic hardware to IPC J‑STD‑001E standards.
- FAA A&P license.
- FAA repair station experience.
- Capability of lock‑wiring to MS standards.
- Capability of applying strain‑relief techniques including lacing cord.
- Office environment is normal; plant temperature and noise may require PPE.
- Job requires speaking, hearing, and hands‑to‑keyboard use; vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment required.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Working remotely is not an option.
