Reports To Guest Relations Supervisor/Assistant Supervisor/Operations Manager

Wage $15/hour

Position Description Engages with guests courteously, manages transactions accurately, maintains cleanliness, and assists with various tasks around aquatic facility.

• Accurately manages till/drawer to be able to reconcile all transactions throughout shift including cash, coupon, credit card and other negotiable items
• Properly operates the POS (Point Of Sale) module in Rec-Trac software
• Participate in cash pickups through the day as needed
• Organizes and maintains a clean work area
• Knowledgeable of all Rockford Park District Policies and is consistent with following through with them in a professional manner
• Communicates daily with guests on a one-to-one basis in a professional, courteous manner providing accurate information regarding facility rates and policies.
• Maintains familiarity with the District’s Quality Assurance Statement.
• Maintains a high level of professionalism at all times
• Communicates daily with the Guest Relations Supervisors
• Works unusual hours, including evening private parties, weekends and all holidays in a fast paced atmosphere
• Conducts oneself in a safe manner and adheres to all safety guidelines, policies and procedures.
• Attends all required trainings and meetings.
• Works as a slide dispatch as scheduled.
• Works as receptionist as scheduled.
• Assists with group admission and cabana escort.
• Understands and has the ability to follow and implement the Rockford Park District’s Emergency Response Plan
• Performs all other duties as assigned

Education/Experience Must be willing and able to receive certification in First Aid, CPR, AED & Ellis and Associates Lifeguard (all lifeguards are trained by the Rockford Park District - Employees will have 3-5 months once hired to obtain this certification)

• Must be at least 16 years of age
• Must be willing to work unusual hours, including evening private parties, weekends, and all holidays in a fast paced atmosphere.
• Must be able to read, write and count accurately
• Cash handling experience a plus
• Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction).
• Good oral communication skills.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with other district employees.
• Good interpersonal skills which include working effectively as a team player.
• Ability to provide customers with expert care, sensitive consideration, and efficient service.
• Strong work ethic required

Medium Work

• Exerting up to 40 pounds of force occasionally
• Exerting up to 20 pounds of force frequently
• Exerting up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects
• Must be able to verbally communicate one-on-one and in groups.
• Far, near, and mid-range vision.
• Must be able to perform moderately physically intensive tasks, potentially including any combination of the following: climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, repetitive motions, substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.

• This position is stationed outdoors 99% of the time; regular exposure to heat, sun, water, cold, and other outdoor/weather related elements
