GM Service Advisor

This is a full-time, on-site position located in Rockford, IL, for a GM Service Advisor. The GM Service Advisor is responsible for assisting customers with maintenance and repair needs by providing exceptional service and professional advice. The role involves greeting customers, discussing vehicle issues, scheduling service appointments, liaising with the service department, recommending maintenance services, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the repair process.

Clear and consistent communication with customers and technicians is a crucial part of this position.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills to build trusted relationships with clients and resolve concerns effectively
• Basic technical knowledge of automotive maintenance and repair processes to explain services to customers
• Excellent organizational and time management skills to manage appointments and coordinate with technicians
• Proficiency in computer systems and software for maintaining customer information and preparing service orders
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment and work as part of a team
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional automotive service or customer service training is beneficial
• Previous experience in automotive service advising or a related customer-facing role is preferred
• A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
