Senior Estimator - Commercial Construction

A well respected general contracting firm in the Beloit/Rockford area is seeking a Senior Estimator to strengthen its preconstruction team. With a legacy of decades of serving the commercial, industrial, and institutional sectors, this firm is recognized for its design-build, construction management expertise.

This position is ideal for an experienced Estimator who is passionate about delivering accurate, competitive, and timely cost projections-contributing to continued growth and client-focused project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead cost estimation and bid strategy for commercial and light-industrial projects
• Review blueprints, specifications, and scopes to quantify and price project elements.
• Conduct quantity take-offs, risk assessments, and scope validation.
• Solicit, evaluate, and compare subcontractor and supplier bids.
• Perform site visits and rigorous pre-bid research.
• Collaborate closely with project managers and field teams to align estimates with delivery strategy.
• Maintain updated cost data, benchmark metrics, and support value engineering.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of commercial estimating experience with ground-up and renovation projects.
• Expertise with take-off and estimating tools
• Deep knowledge of CSI divisions, building systems, and cost structures.
• Proven relationships with local subcontractors, architects, and vendors
• Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and verbal/written communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
