Nurse Practitioner – Veteran Disability Evaluations (Part-Time)
Pay: $64.00 per hour
Schedule: Part-Time | 2 Days Per Week (Scheduled between Monday – Thursday)
Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Requirement: Nurse Practitioner (NP) Only

In this role, you will perform Compensation and Pension (C&P) examinations for Veterans and separating military members. This is an investigative, non-treatment-based position
. Your goal is to provide a thorough clinical picture to help the VA determine benefits for service-connected health issues.

Key Responsibilities- Comprehensive Exams: Perform Disability Benefit Questionnaires (DBQs) and Separation Health Assessments (SHA).
- Medical Record Review: Conduct in-depth reviews of medical histories and abstracts applicable to the Veteran's claim.
- Clinical Documentation: Obtain detailed health histories and perform physical evaluations, ensuring all charts are submitted via a cloud-based EHR within a 24-hour turnaround.
- Diagnostics: Order and interpret necessary labs or ancillary services based on your physical examination findings.
- Medical Opinions: Provide evidence-based medical opinion decisions and diagnoses based on the physical exam and Veteran claims.
- Volume: Typically 1 to 6 Veterans per day (depending on the complexity of the claim).
- Quality Time: Average exam times range from 1.5 to 3 hours, allowing you to focus on the Veteran’s story and medical history.
- Focus: High-quality charting and clinical investigation.
- Education: Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Licensure: Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Wyoming.
- Certifications: Current BLS certification.
- Skills: Excellent critical thinking, diagnostic skills, and the ability to maintain strict documentation deadlines (24-hour turnaround).
