Job Description
The Safety Valve Technician is tasked with repairing pressure relief valves in accordance with the quality manual sanctioned by the National Board Inspection Code. This role involves thorough calibration and documentation associated with testing and repairs, as well as operating various equipment, including forklifts and sandblasters. The technician is required to disassemble valves, record job data, and work in conjunction with office staff regarding repair necessities.
It is crucial to maintain a clean work environment, and the position may involve field assignments. This role is based in Williston, ND, offering up to a $10,000 relocation bonus and full medical, dental, and vision coverage provided by the company.
- Perform repairs on pressure relief valves in accordance with established quality standards.
- Complete all required calibration and documentation related to testing and repairs.
- Operate equipment such as forklifts, sandblasters, and parts washers.
- Carefully disassemble valves to prevent damage to components, adhering to the manufacturer’s manuals.
- Document and enter job data into the database, including photographic documentation.
- Collaborate with office staff to address repair needs.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Assemble, calibrate, tag, and certify valves following the manufacturer’s repair manuals.
- Assist with field assignments as necessary.
- Engage in job and safety training as required.
- Inspect valves and identify any issues.
- Disassemble and reassemble valves for repair purposes.
- Clean and lubricate valves as needed.
- Replace any damaged or worn components.
- Install and test valves to ensure proper functionality.
- Interpret technical manuals and engineering specifications.
- Keep accurate records of completed work.
- Utilize hand and power tools to perform repairs.
- Follow safety protocols and procedures at all times.
