We're looking for an Executive Director who can help us step forward with clarity and confidence. A leader who understands the heartbeat of community‑based behavioral health, and who knows how to build strong teams, steward resources wisely, and strengthen partnerships across the county. Someone who brings steadiness, humility, and the ability to see what's possible.
In This Role, You Will:- Work with the Southwest Counseling Board of Directors, Sweetwater County Board of County Commissioners, and other community partners to identify, prioritize and implement strategic objectives that meet the evolving mental health needs of the community.
- Lead a committed team providing high‑quality, person‑centered behavioral health and recovery services.
- Partner with the Board to set direction, establish priorities, and guide long‑term strategy.
- Oversee the financial health of the organization with support from finance staff and trusted external partners.
- Support clinical leaders in maintaining program quality, compliance, and a strong culture of care.
- Build and sustain relationships with county partners, healthcare systems, schools, law enforcement, and community organizations.
- Foster a trauma‑informed, supportive environment where staff feel safe, valued, and connected to the mission.
- You bring clarity to complex moments and help the organization focus on what matters.

We're looking for a leader who understands behavioral health systems and has experience guiding organizations through growth and change. A master's degree in a relevant field is helpful, but equivalent experience paired with strong leadership ability is fully welcomed. Understanding rural behavioral health needs is a plus.
