Registered Nurse (RN) – PCU Travel Nurse in Rock Island, IL | 13-week assignment at a Level 1 trauma center. ACLS & BLS required. Join our progressive care team and expand your acute care and med?surg/PCU experience in the Quad Cities.

Surg RN, Telemetry experience valued - Shift: 12?hour days (7:00 AM start, 0645 report time)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Duration: 13 weeks (April 6, 2026 – July 6, 2026)
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Electronic Medical Record: EPIC (EPIC EMR experience preferred)
- Facility: Level 1 trauma center — acute care and progressive care nursing environment
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,090–$2,200/week
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois required (Iowa RN license accepted on offer)
- Minimum 2 years recent PCU, Med?
Surg, telemetry, or progressive care nursing experience - Current ACLS and BLS certifications (AHA required)
- Clinical experience with chest tubes, femstops, tracheostomies (trachs), continuous bladder irrigations (CBIs), drains, and central lines
- Proficiency administering and titrating critical IV infusions and drips (Amiodarone, Cardizem, Nitroglycerin, Insulin drips, Heparin, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Isuprel, Milrinone, Argatroban)
- Ability to float within the same discipline across local campuses as needed
- Must maintain a taxable address outside 50 miles from the facility (travel nurse requirement)
- First?time travel nurses welcome — travel nursing jobs in Illinois supported
- Required submission documents: driver’s license, current resume/work history, skills checklist (within 1 year), license verification, certifications (ACLS/BLS), and one supervisory reference
- Deliver high?quality, patient?centered acute and progressive care as part of an interdisciplinary team
- Monitor and manage patients with complex medical and surgical needs in the PCU (progressive care nursing)
- Administer and titrate critical medications and IV infusions per orders, ensuring safe medication management
- Perform and manage care for patients with chest tubes, central lines, drains, tracheostomies, and CBIs
- Accurately document patient care, assessments, and progress in EPIC EMR
- Float to other units within the same discipline when required to support staffing needs
- Participate in orientation, competency validation, and ongoing training as scheduled
