Travel RN - Med​/Surg Tele

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med Surg/Telemetry night shift role requiring an active IL RN license and Med Surg, Post Op, or Stepdown experience.

Job Details

• Work in a Med Surg/Telemetry unit within a hospital setting,

• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM with 12-hour shifts,

• Every other weekend is required,

• No on-call responsibilities,

• May be asked to fill in as charge nurse or precept new hires,

• May be required to float within the same discipline across local campuses,

• Utilizes the Epic EMR system,

Job Requirements

• Active IL RN license required at time of consideration,

• Active IA RN license required, or proof of application for IA single-state or compact RN license,

• Current BLS (AHA) certification required,

• ACLS (AHA) certification preferred,

• Previous Med Surg, Post Op, or Stepdown experience required,

• Must be comfortable caring for 5-7 patients,

• Driver's license required,

• Recent work history and skills checklist required,

• At least one supervisory reference from the past two years required,

Additional Information

• Participate as a member of the interdisciplinary team in managing and providing patient care,

• Orientation includes 16 hours of training,

• Travelers must have a taxable address outside a 50-mile radius from the facility,

• Required to work 2 of 3 major holidays (Christmas, New Year's, Thanksgiving),

• Only one day of requested time off allowed during major holiday periods,
