Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring active IL and IA RN licenses, and ACLS and BLS certifications.
Responsibilities- Work in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
- 12-hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM, three shifts per week
- Every other weekend required
- Floating expected across local campuses and to Stepdown units as needed
- Average patient ratio of 1:5-6
- Uses Epic EMR system
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Role involves collaborating as a member of the interdisciplinary team
- 16 hours of orientation provided at start
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
- Holiday coverage includes working 2 of 3 major winter holidays
- Only one day of time off may be requested during specified peak holiday periods
- No on-call required for this position
- Active IL RN license required at time of consideration
- Active IA RN license required; proof of application accepted if not active
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
- At least 2 years of prior Med Surg experience required
- Stepdown or Cardiac experience preferred
- One recent supervisory reference required
- Driver's license required for consideration
