Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a night shift Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring active IL and IA RN licenses and EPIC experience.
Responsibilities- Work on a Med Surg/Telemetry unit in a hospital setting
- Night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, 12 hours per shift, 36 hours per week
- Required to work every other weekend
- No on-call requirements
- May be asked to take charge and/or precept new hires
- May float within the same discipline across local campuses
- Uses Epic EMR, Epic experience required
- Oncology patient experience required
- Contribute professional and clinical skills as part of an interdisciplinary team
- May be required to work two out of three major winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's)
- Limit of one day off request allowed between 11/26-11/30 and 12/23-1/2
- 16 hours of orientation provided
- Returning employees who have worked at the facility in the previous 12 months may not be eligible
- Active IL RN license required at time of consideration
- Active IA RN license required or proof of application for IA single state or compact RN license
- Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Previous experience in Med Surg, Telemetry or Stepdown required
- Some oncology experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Candidates must have a taxable address at least 50 miles from facility; local travelers are not accepted
