Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced OR RN for a day shift position requiring current IL and IA licensure, with call and weekend requirements.

• Work is based in the Operating Room within a hospital setting
• Day shifts starting at 6:30 AM, working 10-hour shifts
• Required to float to Moline, Bettendorf, or Muscatine campuses as needed
• Every 5th weekend coverage required:
  Saturday night and Sunday shifts
• 1-2 call shifts scheduled per week, typically from end of shift until 0630 or 1900
• Uses Epic for electronic medical records
• Participation on an interdisciplinary surgical team is expected
• Floating within the same discipline across affiliated campuses is required
• New hire orientation is 16 hours
• Must provide one supervisory reference from within the last 2 years
• Holiday coverage required for 2 out of 3 major winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s)
• Limited to 1 day off request during key holiday periods
• Candidates must have a taxable address at least 50 miles away from the facility

• Active IL RN license required at time of consideration
• Active IA RN license required, or proof of IA license application or Compact RN license
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum of 2 years prior OR nursing experience required
• At least 1 completed travel contract required
