Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position in Illinois requiring active IL and IA (or application) licenses and a minimum of two years’ experience.
Responsibilities- Work in a hospital Med/Surg Telemetry unit
- Patient ratios are typically 1:4 or 1:5
- Floating between units is required
- Uses Epic EMR; prior experience with Epic is preferred
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Candidates may be required to work 2 out of 3 winter holidays:
Christmas, New Year's, or Thanksgiving - Requesting more than one day off during designated holiday periods is not permitted
- Returning travelers or employees may not be eligible if employed at the facility within the previous 12 months
- Active IL RN license required
- Iowa RN license required; proof of application for IA or compact RN license may be accepted
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Must provide a driver’s license
- One supervisory reference from within the past 2 years required
- Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel rate
