Cutting Table Operator

To help continue our success, we are looking for the right individual to fill a full-time Cutting Table Operator position at our Fabrication Shop in Rock Island, IL. Our ideal candidate would possess one year of verifiable experience in computer controlled cutting table operation and blueprint reading. A good working knowledge of metal fabrication equipment to include overhead hoist, but we will train the right individual. Employees are expected to supply their own basic hand tools, as needed.

• Following all safety and environmental rules, regulations and procedures as set forth by company policies and OSHA
• Operating and monitoring all equipment in production area safely and efficiently
• Cutting flat steel parts from sheets using various types of cutting equipment.
• Organize and label parts being cut per job tickets for fabrication
• Helping to maintain other on‑site inventories of components
• Load and unload trailers of raw material and finished subassemblies
• Communicating with shop management on all safety, maintenance, and production needs or concerns
• Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor ( e.g. sandblasting and assembly )
