Branch Manager

Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC is North America’s largest Kenworth truck dealership and leasing group. As MHC continues to grow, we have an opening for a Branch Manager. The role is responsible for day-to‑day operation of the branch in compliance with policies, directing all activities of branch profit centers through department managers, staffing and training managers, formulating objectives, policies, plans and programs, converting broad programs to specific plans, aiding in performance target development, evaluating operating results, consulting on personnel decisions, and managing critical accounts.

• Assesses present and future needs, trends, problems and profit opportunities of the branch.
• Establishes short and long‑term operating and financial objectives within the company’s plans.
• Ensures approved policies and objectives are understood and applied.
• Formulates annual and monthly business plan, sales/profit objectives and expense budgets with department manager.
• Develops merchandising strategies with department managers, supervising sales of trucks, parts and service.
• Ensures compliance with local, state and federal regulations.
• Maintains appropriate communication between departments and functional areas; holds conferences as needed.
• Establishes and maintains satisfactory customer and public relations; acts as final arbitrator when necessary.
• Develops, trains, reviews and appraises department managers; recommends compensation changes.
• Promotes safe work habits and ensures safety rules are followed.

• Previous management experience.
• Thorough knowledge of all phases of branch operations.
• Preference for direct truck sales experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong leadership and decision‑making skills.
