* Job Summary:

** The Universal Banker Float I is responsible for fulfilling standard Universal Banker responsibilities and will be expected to grow and develop into the Universal Banker Float II role on or before the designated timeframe.
** Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
*** Verify important information including endorsements, dates, and identification, to cash or deposit checks and pay out funds.
* Conduct various banking transactions, including cash checks, accept deposits, and issue customer receipts.
* Prepare, verify, and issue cashier's checks and money orders.
* Balance cash drawer daily according to established procedures and report any teller cash differences immediately to the direct supervisor.
* Balance all vaults at end of day.
* Answer Branch phones and assist customers.
* Attend and contribute to staff and Bank meetings.
* Demonstrate a helpful, friendly, and team-player attitude.
* Follow established security protocol including proper robbery/hold-up procedures.
* Maintain the teller area to ensure the safety of all negotiable instruments and confidential records.
* Travel to other locations as needed.
* Work varying schedules based on branch hours including the Saturday rotation.
* Travel to branches within their assigned market dependent on need under the direction of Float Manager.
* Reach out to customers to establish and grow relationships.
* Other duties as assigned.
* Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
* Thorough understanding of customer service and Bank products/services.
* Ability to remain friendly and calm in stressful situations.
* Above average knowledge of fundamental mathematics.
* High school diploma or recognized equivalent required.
* 1+ years of customer service experience required.
* Experience in retail sales preferred.
* Experience in a professional financial environment preferred.
* Cash handling and transactional experience preferred.
* Bi-lingual preferred.
* Ability to operate general office equipment, banking equipment, and banking systems.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
