Mississippi Valley Division (MVD) - St Paul District

Locations:
Rock Island, IL

• Serves as Chief of the Environmental Planning Branch, supervising three sections located in St. Paul, MN, Rock Island, IL, and St. Louis, MO.
• Directs and coordinates the environmental planning function, environmental compliance, and plan formulation activities for the region.
• Provides oversight for a large, complex, and diversified Civil Works program, ensuring the efficient and timely execution of projects in accordance with established policies, objectives, and funding.
• Manages a wide range of projects, including flood risk management, navigation, water supply, and environmental restoration.
• Serves as a central point of contact, representing the organization and interfacing with customers, state and Federal government agencies, higher headquarters, and other stakeholders.

• This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

• Minimum Experience Requirement
  :
  One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level in the Federal service, which includes:
  1) planning, directing, and coordinating environmental planning and compliance functions;
  2) providing technical and administrative supervision to a multi-disciplinary team;
  3) representing an organization and coordinating with various stakeholders such as government officials, resource agencies, and the public on environmental planning matters; and
  4) managing resources and workload for environmental studies and projects.
