Job DetailsLocation: Winthrop University – 701 Oakland Avenue, Rock Hill, South Carolina 29730
Schedule: Full time; days and hours may vary. Details discussed during interview.
Pay Range: $21.00 to $23.00 per hour.
Required Experience: Two to four years of irrigation equipment experience, strong understanding of equipment operation, and the ability to obtain necessary licenses.

Job SummarySummary: Performs routine labor associated with irrigation management, including digging, pipe repair, head/valve replacement, and small equipment operation.
ssential Duties and Responsibilities- Repair existing underground sprinkler and drip systems, including repairing malfunctioning heads and nozzles.
- Adjust spray heads for correct coverage.
- Mitigate all irrigation‑related safety hazards.
- Operate equipment.
- Apply a surgical approach to all work.
- Maintain professional communication with technicians, irrigation supervisor, and the general public.
- Deploy for emergency response due to inclement weather (e.g., snow, ice, tornado, or other crisis).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Two years of experience in irrigation repairs.
- Ability to repeatedly lift 25 pounds and kneel, bend, or stoop for extended periods.
- Extensive driving, walking, and equipment operation.
- Exposure to extreme weather conditions, pesticides, fertilizers, pollen‑producing environments, paint, and petroleum products.
- Work time expectation: 90% physical labor, 10% training and miscellaneous tasks.
